Nigerian music star, Tiwa Savage, was among the prominent figures who attended a state banquet hosted by King Charles III and Queen Camilla at Windsor Castle in the United Kingdom in honour of President Bola Tinubu and the First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu.
The dinner, held on Wednesday at Windsor Castle, formed part of President Tinubu’s official state visit to the United Kingdom. It brought together leading government officials, diplomats, business leaders and cultural figures of Nigerian heritage.
Savage later shared moments from the event on her Instagram page on Thursday, describing the invitation as an honour.
In her post, she wrote, “It is truly a great honour to be invited by Their Majesties King Charles III and Queen Camilla to attend the State Banquet at Windsor Castle in honour of the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Mr. Bola Tinubu and First Lady Mrs. Tinubu.
“Moments like this come with reflection. While recognising that true progress is measured far beyond rooms like this. Witnessing history, while hoping for better realities for everyday Nigerians,” the 46-year-old songstress said.

Other notable attendees included British-Nigerian rugby star Maro Itoje, writer Ben Okri, Olympic gold medallist Christine Ohuruogu, and former England footballer Eniola Aluko, among others.
The gathering also featured special arrangements in line with Ramadan, including provisions for prayers and an iftar before the formal dinner.
In his remarks, King Charles described the relationship between Nigeria and the United Kingdom as a “partnership of equals”, noting the shared history and longstanding ties between both nations.
President Tinubu, in his address, emphasised mutual respect and cooperation, saying both countries share a vision of progress built on collaboration.
