Parents, guardians, and families who lost loved ones in a fire outbreak that spread into an Islamic school in Kaura Namoda, Zamfara State, have been condolenced by President Bola Tinubu.
Tinubu, in a statement signed by his media aide, Bayo Onanuga, on Wednesday, commiserated with the state government and owners of the school and prayed for the quick recovery of those receiving medical attention.
The President directed regulatory bodies in the education sector to ensure compliance with safety standards and urged all public and private schools to always prioritize children’s safety and security.

He prayed that God Almighty would comfort the departed and grant them comfort and eternal rest.
At least 17 children perished in the fire at an Islamiya school.
