Thiago Motta Sacked As Juventus Coach

After less than a year in charge, Igor Tudor replaced Thiago Motta as Juventus’ coach, the Italian giants announced his dismissal on Sunday.
Thiago Motta has been sacked as the men’s first team coach, according to a statement from Juventus.
Igor Tudor will now be in charge of the team’s first training session, starting tomorrow, March 24th, according to Juventus.
Following Juve’s disappointing fifth place in the Italian top flight, Juve lost 3-0 to Fiorentina in the previous two games and to 4-0 defeat by Atalanta, which was their heaviest home defeat since 1967.
For Juventus’ fragile finances, Tudor will have to secure fourth place, the final qualifying spot for the Champions League.
Before transitioning into coaching, Croatian Tudor made 174 appearances for Juve as a player. Verona, Marseille, and Lazio are some of his previous managerial positions.
Motta, 42, quickly let down the supporters despite having high hopes for him after leading Bologna to the Champions League last season.
His team’s summer recruits failed to live up to expectations, recording 13 draws in the league and rarely thrilled his team.

When they lost to Empoli in the quarter-finals, they were knocked out of the Champions League by PSV Eindhoven in the play-off for a place in the last 16 and the Italian Cup, which they were the reigning champions of.
Dusan Vlahovic and Kenan Yildiz were both relegated to the bench by the Italian-Brazilian coach, who made some strange choices.
With six points separating Bologna from fourth- and ninth-placed AC Milan, Juve are competing for a spot in Europe’s best club competition.
Juventus praised Thiago Motta and all of his staff for their professionalism and the work they have done with passion and dedication in recent months.
