The Vivienne’s ex-husband David seen for first time since star’s tragic death

The Vivienne’s ex-husband, David Ludford, 34, has made his first public outing since the star’s tragic death.

Police officers were called to a home in Chorlton-by-Backford, near Chester, to make sure there were no suspicious things going on at the time of Viv’s death, which was just 32 years old. David, who was married to The Vivienne, who was known as James Lee Williams, from 2019 to 2023, declared that his heart “sank” when he learned of their passing.

After a few weeks, David and Holly Ditchfield, both stars of Married at First Sight, parted ways to enjoy a night out in private. The wig designer was posing outside the Manchester Boulevard bar and flashed in dazzling makeup and statement jewelry. He wore a sheer black Dior shirt, paired with black trousers and Doc Martens, and held onto Holly’s hand as they entered the club.

After working on Liverpool’s club scene for the Drag Race team, the Drag Race star relocated to Gran Canaria in 2017 to seek recovery from ketamine addiction. The star credits meeting David, who worked as a waiter at Sparkles Show Bar in Las Palmas, with completely altering their life after seeking assistance from an NHS facility in Liverpool.

The couple tied the knot at the well-known London gay club Heaven in December 2019 after being the first couple to do so. After drifting apart in April 2023, David and James split up and had an acceptable reconciliation.

The Vivienne confirmed their break-up, writing on Instagram: “As many may have noticed, David and I have been apart recently. After five and a half years, we have made the decision to leave. Although we are still close friends, sometimes things get in the way and people get stale.

We wish each of them the best of luck and will always be a part of their lives. We ask that you abide by our current privacy laws. Thank you. James and David. “

At the time of Viv’s death, David opened up about the love he still held for his ex-husband. When I received the call, he wrote on social media, “My heart literally sank.” Never did I ever believe I would ever write a book about James Lee Williams this well in the first place. Since our initial encounter in Gran Canaria in August 2017, this man has changed my life so much. We literally immediately fell in love and knew we would be friends for a long time. He showed me what it was really like to love someone and made me feel loved.

We literally went through and accomplished so much together, and I wouldn’t have changed the amount of time we spent together for anything! Because we have been fully divorced for just over a year, but we were still together for six years, and you can’t take anything away, I feel this upset and hurt.
