Taylor Swift fans unite to pay for dead fan’s return to family as venue ‘fail to help’

Major Swiftie Ana Clara Benevides passed away at Taylor Swift’s concert after experiencing cardiac arrest due to unfavorable circumstances. Fans have now raised money to return her deceased body to her family.

Following the incident, T4F, the venue’s company, posted on Twitter, “We are deeply saddened to inform you of Ana Clara Benevides Machado, who passed away at the age of 23.” Ana Clara was taken to a medical facility at Nilton Santos Olympic Stadium yesterday night after feeling unwell with the help of an emergency team of paramedics and workers.

They also sent their condolences to her loved ones after explaining that she passed away in the hospital. The family was allegedly not given any additional support by the venue, though.

Ana passed away far from her home because she had to travel for the Eras Tour. According to reports, the location had nothing to do with returning the body to her family, who couldn’t afford it. Fans banded together and gave in an effort to cover the cost in place of financial assistance from the business.

In a video, Ana’s mother thanked her viewers for their support. “We started a crowdfunding campaign yesterday, asking for help,” she said. Thank God, this morning we succeeded in our goal. We received a sum that gave us complete freedom. Thank God, so many people gave, and I prayed for God to bless each and every one of you.

Twitter user @sckberry translated the video. “Today I realize how loved my daughter was,” her mother continued. My daughter was surrounded by joy yesterday when her friends stayed with me here until 4 a.m. telling me both their and my daughter’s stories. Thank you all from the bottom of my heart.

The show on Sunday continued as scheduled at the same location as the one the day after Ana’s passing. Without the assistance of the venue, spectators at Sunday’s show distributed water to those standing in line.

Tonight, Taylor is scheduled to perform. In an Instagram post, the popular singer spoke about Ana’s passing. I can’t even begin to express how devastated I am by this, she wrote. Other than the fact that she was incredibly beautiful and much too young, I don’t have a lot of information. My heartbroken thoughts are with her friends and family. When we decided to take this tour to Brazil, this is the absolute last thing I ever imagined happening.
