Suspected Killer Of Rivers DPO Nabbed In Bayelsa

The late Bako Angbashim, who until his death served as the divisional police officer of Ahoada division, was the subject of an arrest by Bayelsa Police Command agents.

The suspect, 43-year-old Onyekachi Ikowa, who is thought to be second in command to the dreaded Icelanders cult leader 2Baba, was detained on Saturday, November 18, 2023, at his hideout in Yenagoa. The police spokesman in Bayelsa State, Butswat Asinim, confirmed the arrest through a statement.

Onyekachi was reportedly hiding out in Yenagoa after initially running away to Sagamu in Ogun state.

Francis Iduh, the commissioner of police, gave his men the order to thoroughly search the state and apprehend the suspects after receiving reliable information that he might be hiding out there.

One of the murderers of Late SP Bako Angbashim, a former Divisional Police Officer of Ahoada Division, Rivers State, has been apprehended by Bayelsa State police, according to the statement.

“Based on reliable information that he was hibernating in Yenagoa after taking part in the brutal murder of Late SP Bako Angbashim, in September 2023, the suspect one Onyekachi Ikowa’m’&nbsp, 43 years, second in command to TuBaba of the dreaded Icelander cult group,” the investigator was detained on November 18.

Iduh also gave his men orders to track down any gang members hiding in the state.

The statement continued, “The Bayelsa State Command under his watch would not be a haven for criminals to hide,” and “CP Francis Iduh, the commissioner of police, has ordered police to find any of his cohorts who are hiding there.”
