After the first night of the live tour, the Strictly Come Dancing stars returned to their hotel with cheers.
Head judge Shirley Ballas led the crowd that was playing in Birmingham as the live show kicked off their string of dates across the nation. The 64-year-old woman was greeted by a taxi at the hotel and donned a blouse with a black and white striped top.
Dancer Karen Hauer, who was spotted with a long black coat, joined her for the sold-out performance in a striped outfit in Birmingham. On the first night, Janette Manrara appeared relaxed, and other guests were also smiling. After a high-energy performance, professional dancer Jowita Przystal looked happy to be at her hotel at the conclusion of the night.
The Glitterball Trophy winner, Dianne Buswell, was keeping warm in a long comfortable coat. Due to her celebrity dance partner, comedian Chris McCausland, who is the first champion to not perform live, strictly fans were disappointed.
Chris had previously disclosed the reason he had skipped the Strictly tour and was also in the Birmingham area last night when his stand-up tour arrived at Walsall Arena. He had said: “I’m afraid I will not be able to do the Strictly tour. In order to accommodate doing #Strictly, many dates were moved to January and February for my own tour, which was scheduled for September. It’s unfortunate as it’s been so much fun, but my own dates can’t be moved for a second time”.
The comedian’s comedy dates had to be changed because he had not anticipated a long run in the BBC dance competition. Fans flocked to see his solo live performance as he realized he couldn’t delay the wedding plans.
Singer Shayne Ward, who entered the hotel after the Strictly show, gave the peace sign as he entered.
Amy Dowden is recovering fully from a toe injury that caused her to leave the previous series when she teamed up with boyband star JB Gill to take her place in Lauren Oakley’s shoes. On their UK tour, she joined JB and Lauren alongside her.
As 2024 came to an end, Amy devastatingly admitted to feeling “robbed of the year” and “didn’t feel the slightest bit like Amy”. Amy told us, “I feel like Amy once more,” while speaking to the Mirror about how she is currently faring.
