After receiving 300 complaints in eight hours, a Strictly Come Dancing star was suspended from Hinge.
Due to the volume of complaints received over people who called him a “catfish,” TV personality Gethin Jones downloaded the dating app in an effort to make a connection. Gethin claimed in a new interview that he was “broken twice in eight hours” for violating the Code of Conduct.
“300 women had reported me for catfishing”, he explained. The actor questioned what he was doing with his life when he claimed the paid version of the app wasn’t working for him. ” That’s when I’m like, ‘ What am I doing with my life? ‘ Gethin’s relationship life is infamously private. In 2011, he was engaged to opera singer Katherine Jenkins, but the couple split up less than a year later. He was most recently linked to First Dates’ Cici Coleman in 2023 and Lucy Mecklenburgh from The Only Way Is Essex, German model Katja Zwara, and other women.

Gethin recently discussed his medical condition with co-host Sara Davies on BBC Morning Live. Over two in five people in England are affected by high cholesterol, according to Sara as a spokesperson. She then pointedly remarked to Gethin:” Including you! “To which he acknowledged:” Yeah, that’s right.
“I got diagnosed recently. We are aware that it may lead to both future strokes and heart disease. He expressed his concern, saying: “It’s something you’ve really got to take seriously. I just had so many questions! I felt really uneducated”. Gethin and experts collaborated on a recorded piece about the internal effects of cholesterol and ways to lower it, wanting to go deeper.
Despite leading what he believed to be a healthy lifestyle, including regular exercise, good eating habits, and moderate alcohol consumption, BBC viewers were able to see Gethin’s surprise at his own high cholesterol levels. He continued, “My sister was the one who first advised me to get my cholesterol tested,” adding: “It was actually my sister.” I learned it was high, but I wasn’t expecting it. I want to understand why my cholesterol is high and learn how to manage it because I take my health seriously.
