After they both found new jobs away from the recognizable BBC dance floor, Strictly Come Dancing may lose two of its most well-known stars.
Janette Manrara, who made her West End debut in the role of Roxie Hart in the stage musical Chicago in March of this year, was originally a professional dancer on the series and currently performs the spin-off show It Takes Two. She made the announcement by sharing a Chicago poster with the words “Extra extra!” Big news for Foxy Roxie! From March 3rd, the stunning Janette Manrara will play Roxie Hart on the #ChicagoUKTour!
Dianne Buswell, who recently shared a new fashion deal with the clothing company In The Style and won the Strictly trophy at the end of last year with her celebrity partner Chris McCausland, has also announced she is starting a podcast series with comedian Chris.

Fans online predicted that she might not be appearing on Strictly until later in the year. One wrote: “I wouldn’t be surprised if Dianne left to focus either on other career developments or family”, while a second commented: “I don’t think she’ll be able to top this partnership and this series”. “I can see Dianne pulling the classic move of leaving right after winning,” a third said.
Oti Mabuse ended the show in 2008 after winning two years in a row, joining Tom Chambers on Holby City in 2008, first with Kelvin Fletcher and then comedian Bill Bailey.
Due to Storm Eowyn, cancellations have been made to the Strictly Live tour this week that features some of the show’s most well-known dancers. On Friday, January 24, the first date in Glasgow was postponed. In a statement released on Thursday, the show’s bosses said: “Due to the red weather warning in place tomorrow, the Friday evening performance of Strictly Come Dancing The Live Tour will be rescheduled to Sunday evening, 26 January”.

The 30 date tour features seven couples, Jamie Borthwick and Michelle Tsiakkas, Montell Douglas and Kai Widdrington, Wynne Evans and Katya Jones, Tasha Ghouri and Aljaž Škorjanec, JB Gill, Amy Dowden and Lauren Oakley, Sarah Hadland and Vito Coppola and Shayne Ward and Nancy Xu, as well as performances from other Strictly dancers, including Dianne Buswell.
TV hosts Janette Manrara, Anton Du Beke, Craig Revel Horwood, Motsi Mabuse, and Shirley Ballas, Anton Du Beke, and Craig Revel Horwood, who also serve as the tour host, are also featured in the shows.
Judge Craig Revel Horwood was the target of a playback earlier this week by Wynne Evans. The Welsh Opera singer appeared on Monday’s The One Show, and he exchanged some backstage banter from the tour. He cheekily remarked: “It’s fun, you know, it’s just real fun, it’s absolute entertainment. Craig is still as impolite as ever. He called me right, yesterday, he said that I was stompy and flat footed. Right”?
“So I said: ‘ Have you heard your album, mate, that’s stompy and flat if ever I’ve heard it! ‘ So yeah, there’s quite a lot of banter and he gave me a two yesterday, so I was absolutely gutted, just because I was a bit rude about his album”!
