Star Trek and Transformers producer Roberto Orci’s cause of death revealed

Roberto Orci, a former Star Trek actor, passed away at the age of 51. His cause of death was not known.
After being hired by Sam Raimi, the writer and producer, who was born in Mexico City to a Mexican-born father and Cuban mother, began a successful television career with his friend Alex Kurtzman on Hercules: The Legendary Journeys. They soon started producing the sister series Xena: Warrior Princess and were involved in the show.
They soon met with JJ Abrams, who was working on Alias at the time. Abrams and Kurtzman were named as co-creators of the Fox television series Fringe after they finished producing. In 2004 with Michael Bay’s The Island, Orci made his big break in writing for a movie. With the success, he returned for Transformers.
The producer and author passed away in his Los Angeles home, according to Variety.

Orci also worked on Watchmen, Mission: Impossible III, Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen, The Proposal, Sleepy Hollow, the Star Trek reboot and more.
The star’s other credits include The Amazing Spider-Man 2, Now You See Me, The Mummy and The Legend of Zorro. He won numerous awards throughout his career, including being named one of The Hollywood Reporter’s 50 most influential Latinos.
In 2020, he married actor and screenwriter Adele Heather Taylor. She alleged sexual and physical abuse against him in a lawsuit filed in August of last year. In the lawsuit, she also claimed he was a violent alcoholic. In response to a lawsuit Orci had filed months prior, he claimed she financially manipulated and assaulted him while he was struggling with alcohol.
According to his spokesman, “Ms. Taylor’s counterclaim is an attempt to retaliate against her husband with fabricated allegations after he obtained a restraining order against her, filed for divorce, and sued her in June for assault, battery, and financial abuse abuse while he was vulnerable and trying to get treatment for alcoholism,” according to Salle Hofmesiter, who at the time released a statement.
Melissa Blake filed for divorce in 2016, but he married her before Adele.
The producer’s parents, Macuqui Robau-Garcia and Roberto Orci Sr, his step-daughter Jeanine Orci, and his three siblings Courtney Ford, JR Orci, and Taylor Orci, are all present.
