Stacey Solomon delighted her fans by sharing an unexpected side of herself while celebrating her husband Joe Swash’s birthday. In an Instagram post, the 34-year-old revealed that she enjoys fishing, having spent the day by the water with Joe.
The TV star shared a photo of Joe holding a fishing rod, with her own rod rested behind her as she snapped the photo. The picture, taken in a scenic outdoor setting, was accompanied by a joyful caption wishing husband Joe a happy birthday. Stacey penned: “Happy Birthday Joe Joe,” alongside two fishing emojis.
Stacey continued: “I actually love you so much it’s a joke. Hope you’ve had the best day on the lake where you belong. To the moon and back Joe! Happy 43,” alongside a white heart.
The discovery of this new hobby comes as a surprise to many, given that Stacey is more commonly associated with her DIY skills, cooking, and family life rather than. Fans took to the comments section, showering Stacey with support and praise for embracing something new.

The couple, who share three children together as well as three others from previous relationships, have revealed they will feature in the new TV series which will air next year. The Loose Woman star and former EastEnders actor have son Rex, as well as daughters Rose and Belle. Stacey has three sons, Zachary and Leighton. Joe has a son called Harry from a previous relationship.
Whilst details of how many episodes have yet to be confirmed, Stacey did tease fans that the new BBC series is designed to help fans ‘get to know them a little more’. Previous rumours for the series have pledged that it will delve deep into the bustling household of Stacey, Joe, and their six kids at their plush Essex home. From Stacey’s knack for interior design, to the energetic youngsters and their pets – including their adored ducks Daisy and Delilah Solomon-Swash.
The Sort Your Life Out star revealed the news on her Instagram as she wrote: “A new year. A very new adventure. Coming Spring 2025. We’ve been so nervous & excited to share this. Here is us. All of us. In 2024 we opened up our home & made a series about our lives, family, work & everything in between. It was a huge leap into the unknown & it’s been an absolute whirlwind making it. But last year as a family we decided to say yes to more & do things we’d never done.
“We have spoken about making a documentary for a long time, lots of you have asked too. So here we go. A journey with us every second of the way. Through the laughter the tears & the craziness… We hope it makes you smile, feel good & hopefully enjoy getting to know us all a little more. “
Alongside the post she shared a video clip featuring the family, including daughters Belle and Rose as well as husband Joe.
