‘Let’s get started!’: Stacey Solomon proudly showcases her sons’ freshly-painted bedrooms and sleek new beds as she continues renovating her £1.2million Essex mansion
She recently moved into her ‘forever home’ in Essex, which she promptly named Pickle Cottage.
And Stacey Solomon has started revamping her sons’ bedrooms at her new £1.2million home as she shared her renovation progress with her social media followers on Tuesday.
The Loose Women panellist, 31, who is the mother to Zachary, 13, and Leighton, eight, from previous relationships and Rex, 23 months, with her fiancé, Joe Swash, 39, showcased her painting skills in her children’s empty rooms.
Panning Leighton’s new space with her mobile phone, Stacey said: ‘Let’s get started shall we… Leighton’s room ceiling wall and three walls are done.
‘Just waiting for his light blue paint to come… AND THE BED FITS. Leighton LOVES IT.’ (sic)
She captured his stylish new bunk bed complete with a ladder and side storage as she revealed the spacious room will be furnished with wardrobes and a desk.
‘He’s so happy with that, so that’s in,’ she said pointing to the bed before moving into her eldest son’s room.
‘We will go through here and in Zachary’s room, only the ceiling is done,’ Stacey added, gliding the camera over the light blue ceiling.
She continued: ‘Zachy wants to paint his own room. So ceiling is done and I’m going to dust sheet the flooring so he can paint the whole thing electric blue [laughing face and covered monkey face emoji].
‘Got to let them express themselves I suppose even if you aren’t to keen on the expression. [laughing face emojis]’. (sic)
Stacey then gave fans an update on her outdoor pool renovation.
‘The work on the pool starts this month, I’m so excited,’ she eagerly told her 4.4million Instagram followers.
‘We’re going to cut a rectangle out around the border, sink it down for a splash pool bit and then add some steps and then put the proper safety cover on it.
‘All going well it will be completely finished and ready in June.’ (sic)
She proceeded to share throwback montage videos, unpacking groceries in the kitchen at her former Essex home.
Stacey reminisced over the times when she would organise her food in her kitchen cupboards as she ensured fans she would resume the montage kitchen clips soon.
She said: ‘Pickle Cottage kitchen is getting started really soon. So instead of bringing all of my jars and tension rods in only to take them out again…
‘I’ve left them in the shed and just have the basics in the house for now and I can’t wait to get my hands on the new cupboards to make more of this absolute porn.’ (sic)
Sharing a video of the traditional kitchen interior at Pickle Cottage, she said: ‘So for anyone wondering we are going to change the units, update the AGA and get it all cleaned and stuff.
‘And then I’m hoping to put windows in all around the dining area to let all the light in.’ (sic)
Stacey moved into the old-fashioned hallway which featured pink carpet as she continued: ‘And then through this door, there’s a hallway which we are going to make a utility room, and then the rest of the hallway will be the hallway. If that makes any sense? Oh my god.’ (sic)
Concluding her home renovation update, she responded to fan requests, asking for a house tour.
She admitted she is wary to show the entire layout of her new property in case it’s a ‘burglar’s dream,’ as she asked her followers if she’s being paranoid.
The post comes after Stacey revealed she will be able to marry her fiancé in the garden of their home.
The Loose Women presenter had previously spoken about how her wedding plans were in chaos because after booking a venue for later in the year, they had bought their dream home.
And taking to social media in April, Stacey told her followers that she has been given the green light to start planning her back garden wedding.
Stacey told her fans that she is ‘so excited’ to be able to host the ceremony at her home and revealed that she and Joe have already been discussing the set-up of their special day.
The presenter shared a short video of her garden and wrote: ‘So after lots of thinking, wondering, phone calls and then crazy rearranging we were so excited to hear tonight that we can definitely have our wedding ceremony at home.
‘We are having a little ready minute walking around the garden with the boys thinking where things might be.’ (sic)
Stacey had clearly already mulled over some ideas about their big day, as she said they were ‘thinking of walking down the woodland walk’ for their vows.
She also considered having the reception in the old barn and told her fans: ‘I honestly can not wait to hear your advice, your wedding stories and share this whole adventure with you all [sic].’
