South East Senators Mourn Victims Of Fuel Tanker Inferno

On Sunday, the South-East Senate Caucus expressed shock and grief over the numerous fatalities brought on by a fallen petrol tanker in Enugu State.

The caucus, which also expressed regret over a similar incident in Niger State last weekend, said the unfortunate incident has become too many thanks to a statement released by its leader, Senator Enyinnaya Abaribe, on Sunday in Abuja.

He called on the relevant authorities to immediately intervene to stop future incidents from happening and called on Nigerians to be literarily roasted on the roads as a result of avoidable accidents.

The caucus, he added, is pained that innocent people, particularly road users, are now frequently caught up in an accident that smacks of total neglect of the nation’s highways by traffic managers.

“We will lose many of our people, whose total number has not yet been determined, a week after a similar incident in Niger State, which pain and shock Nigeria is yet to recover from,” says “it’s sad and very unfortunate.”

The time for traffic managers to improve their skills is approaching. The country is currently in complete disarrassment because of the frequency of these accidents. We can’t continue losing our people this way, “Abaribe said.
