Mohamed Salah should be asked to sign a new deal with Liverpool, according to Arne Slot, who has warned the Egyptian international against making a lucrative move to Saudi Arabia.
Although Salah has been outstanding this season, his contract expires in June, and there is still talk of an Egyptian superstar moving to the Saudi Pro League.
Prince Abdulaziz bin Turki Al-Faisal, the Saudi sports minister, was questioned on Thursday on the Piers Morgan Uncensored YouTube channel about whether the forward was the Middle East nation’s “big prize.”
“Definitely, because if he ticks all the right boxes, even for us, we’d love to have him”, the sports minister said.
From our culture, history, and other factors, we think we are at odds with the Egyptians.

The 32-year-old Salah, who tops the Premier League goalscoring charts with 19 goals this season, said at the end of December he was still “far away” from reaching an agreement over a new deal at Anfield.
At his pre-game press conference on Friday, Liverpool manager Slot reiterated that they want to keep hold of their 2017 signing talismanic striker.
“We want him to extend, of course, as well”, he said. That is obvious, but I’m not surprised that Saudi Arabia wants him and that other nations also want him.
He will make the right choice for himself and, hopefully, for us because he is old and wise enough and has done so many things in his career.
Referring to the Saudi links, the Dutchman added:” He’s done so well without my advice for a long time, so he can probably keep doing what is best for his career, even without my advice.
However, your advice to him would be different from what you just said.
The Premier League leaders are dealing with Virgil van Dijk, Liverpool’s captain, and Trent Alexander-Arnold, England’s defensive partner, who are both out of contracts at the end of the season.
Slot, whose team face in-form Bournemouth on Saturday, said it “would be ridiculous” if he did not speak to his players about the future, but he refused to be drawn on the progress of contract talks.
