Some fans saw signs of trouble in paradise after Sam Thompson and Zara McDermott ended their romance.
The Made In Chelsea star, 32, had been in a relationship with Zara, 28, since 2019. However, reportedly due to rumors about conflicts between them, they have ended their romance. The couple spent time apart from one another after being spotted in a heated row over the course of the previous year.
Sam and Zara made up their minds to stay at home while filming I’m a Celebrity in Australia, and they even made up their minds for Christmas and New Year’s Eve. The couple reconnected over the course of their marriage by constructing a home next door to Louise and Ryan Libbey, Sam’s sister. Festive season apart
This past Christmas, the couple spent the big day apart from each other. Some fans were concerned about their romance because it appeared that their two lovers were disintegrating. Sam gave up his Christmas Day to help those in need by delivering gifts in response to a charity’s call to lift spirits.
Zara made up her mind to travel with her family for the day. However, Zara displayed an impressive duo of paintings she had commissioned for Sam as a present amid speculation of a fallout. The Love Island star said: “Sam’s Xmas pressie from me! These paintings were created because I wanted to make something extremely meaningful for him. They may seem a little random, but they all have the same meaning as his values. They’re by @brittyflynn she’s absolutely incredible”. Additionally, the former couple separated on New Year’s Eve.
I’m A Celebrity snub
Sam left for the United States in November to work on the most recent episode of I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! However, Zara opted to stay in the UK and faced questions from fans. She spoke about the circumstances in a Q&, A on Instagram after a fan asked: “How come you didn’t go with Sam to Australia”?
Addressing the question, Zara revealed that she has work committments, with her filming a documentary about stalking for the BBC. She added that Sam’s schedule would not allow for a guest. Zara said: “You guys are funny. I’ve had this question so many times! First of all, I’m currently filming my documentary about stalking, and it’s really impossible to take a break from filming on a short notice. Sam’s show only got confirmed last month.
” I am working with some amazing women. It wouldn’t feel right for me to just pull out of the movie, especially the brave women who have stepped up to tell me their stories. Secondly, Sam has to get up for work at 1am every day, it’s a closed set so I wouldn’t be able to go to work with him. I’d just be sat at the hotel while he’s working. “
Crisis talks
Over the summer, it was claimed the couple were having” crisis talks “about their relationship. The former Love Island star left their London pad and headed to her family’s home for a while, according to reports of a heated argument between Sam and Zara. In August, the pair appeared to have patched things up as Zara celebrated Sam’s birthday.

After representing England on the pitch for Soccer Aid 2024, Zara appeared to shout at Sam in public in a photo from June. Zara could be seen smiling as she waved her finger at her beau following the star-studded afterparty in the photos of the seemingly tense exchange. As they waited for their taxi, the two appeared to be having a conversation that was intense.
