Scott Thomas’ brothers reveal he was ‘too old’ for Love Island in brutal swipe

Ryan and Adam Thomas opened up about their demands for their dressing room on ITV show 99 To Beat while talking about their regrets regarding their time on Love Island.
Celebrity siblings Adam and Ryan Thomas have revealed they think their brother Scott was simply “too old” to go back on Love Island before his early exit. The duo admitted they were happy the 36-year-old reality TV star left when he did after his failed bid for romance.
Scott had been trying to find his match on ITV2’s Love Island All Stars for the second season. However, Scott called it a day in the South African villa after a row with Elma Pazar, the former TOWIE star, about his relationship with Tina Stinnes. His famous brothers have now had a say in how he looks.
One of the eldest members of the cast in the villa was former Blazin’ Squad star Marcel Somerville, 39, who first appeared on the show in 2016 during the second series. Sammy Root, who was just 23 years old, was the islander’s youngest child.
While Scott’s twin Adam said he was proud of his brother, he questioned whether he was simply too mature for the show. Speaking to Heat Magazine, he said: “I’m happy that he left when he did though – it felt like the right time. He was maybe a little bit too mature and even too old for the other contestants.”
When Scott made his decision to leave the show, Adam immediately praised his brother and again touched on the age factor. Speaking to Good Morning Britain’s Susanna Reid, he said: “He was in the series when it first started, series two, he was young, he was free, he didn’t have that much to lose. He was going in there for a little bit of fun. At 36, you’re not looking for a bit of fun, you’re looking to settle down.”
Scott had earlier told Luca Bish in the villa his situation was “stressing me out”. “I dunno where I am…,” he said. “Something’s stressing me out a little bit… when she’s in the garden I’m not wanting to rush over… this girl is so good for me and the fact I’m not buzzing p****s me off.”
Ryan, 40, opened up to Heat about the one thing he must always have in his dressing room before filming the show in order to transition to his new role on 99 To Beat.
He acknowledged that there was only one request, and that was for a coffee, despite saying the siblings were “quite straightforward.” However, the difference is that it must be a strong coffee. “Instant isn’t good enough.”
The brothers’ first regular primetime television appearance is the gameshow, which they hosted alongside former Coronation Street and Emmerdale stars.
In order to win a sizable cash prize of £25,000, 100 people are pitted against each other in a variety of challenges. Those who lose must end the competition until there is only one remaining player after defeating the other 99 in the first game.
Adam and Ryan both gushed over appearing on the show when it was first announced, saying: “It’s new, it’s fresh, it’s fun and we can’t wait for people to see it! It really is the ultimate family show, and so we couldn’t be more excited to be hosting it together, as a family.”
They called it “a dream come true” to host it. They said, “We can already see people at home playing these games with their families because they find them entertaining, competitive, and heartfelt.”
