Sanwo-Olu, Makinde Mourn Ondo SSG
Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, and his Oyo State counterpart, Seyi Makinde, have mourned the late Secretary to Ondo State Government, Temitayo Oluwatuyi.
About three weeks after being in a hospital for a road accident along the Ife-Ibadan Road on December 15, 2024, Oluwatuyi passed away on Saturday.
Oluwatuyi was a committed politician who had made significant contributions to the state’s development, according to the Ondo State Government, who announced his passing.
In a statement, Sanwo-Olu commiserated with his Ondo counterpart, Lucky Aiyedatiwa over the death, describing the incident as a great loss.

He expressed his condolences to the Ondo State Government, the deceased’s family, and the Ondo State people, asking for strength and consolation during this trying time.
“The late Hon. Tayo Oluwatuyi, a patriot, gave everything to help the people of Ondo State. His contributions to the development of the state will not be forgotten”, the governor said in a statement by his spokesman, Gboyega Akosile.
He also brought up Oluwatuyi’s previous positions as SSG to the late Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu and chairman of Akure South Local Government Area.
Governor Makinde also expressed his condolences to Aiyedatiwa and said he felt pain and shock when he learned the news.
“I commiserate with Ondo State Governor, Mr Lucky Aiyedatiwa, on the unfortunate death of the Secretary to the State Government, Mr Tayo Oluwatuyi. I equally express my condolences to the state government, the family of the deceased, and the people of Ondo State”, Makinde said in a statement by his spokesman, Sulaimon Olanrewaju.
