Sam Thompson’s hilarious stunt as sister Louise supports him after Zara McDermott split

After splitting up with Zara McDermott, Sam Thompson reconnected with his sister Louise Thompson, and he appeared in good spirits.

The 32-year-old former Made in Chelsea star’s five-year romance with Zara, a former Strictly and Love Island contestant, ended in heartache in 2025. When the couple didn’t spend Christmas together, the couple’s fans became upset. However, they had insisted all was well at the time.

At the beginning of this month, though, it emerged that the pair had taken the painful decision to split. However, it appears Sam could have relied on Louise, 34, to cheer him up.

Louise posted a cheerful photo of herself posing alongside her younger brother on Instagram this week, laughing that he was trying to be patient. The reality star shared a series of photos with her followers as well as a brief clip showing her brother peering from the roof of her home.

Sam was seated next to Louise while posing in a stripy top. Sam was also seen in a bright pink jumper. They were laughing together in the following image. While the third episode of the series featured Sam staring wildly through the glass while sitting on top of the skylight in one of her rooms.

She wrote in an accompanying caption: “People think it’s fun living next to a sibling… until they swipe to slide 3. My nervous system can’t cope. Happy to have you home”.

Sam’s face was clearly pressed against the glass in another image, with his teeth on display and his nose raised. The image collection surprised the post’s readers who flooded the comments section.

One wrote: “Sam is literally the most refreshing human who loves life yep can be my neighbour”. Another joked: “Googles how to get a restraining order on a neighbour”. While another suggested: “Give him a cloth while he’s up there to wash the windows-may as well be useful”

Sam made it known earlier this week that he was turning to his sister for support after splitting. He told The Mirror: “It’s amazing having Louise there and she’s an amazing mum. One of my biggest comforts, if I’m ever going through a hard time, is my neighbours next door”.

He continued, “I live my life at a very fast pace and there are a lot of things going on, so when I go to their place, it’s just such a family unit and beautiful to be.” Louise is running after Leo, my nephew, and Ryan’s running after Louise – it’s all manic madness, but it’s so warm and cosy and lovely”.

At the beginning of the year, Sam and Zara’s split was known. A source told the Daily Mail: “Sam and Zara have ended their relationship. They still care about one another and have a lot of love for one another despite making an extremely difficult decision to part ways.

They split after a difficult year of pursuing their romance, and they will concentrate on their individual careers in 2025. No scandal or conflict between them has occurred; it is simply the result of a difficult year, during which they both had to devote a lot of time to their own projects.
