Sam Thompson makes flirty comment about Strictly star’s body after shock Zara McDermott split

After splitting from Zara McDermott, Sam Thompson made a very flattering comment about Jowita Przysta’s “unbelievable” abs.

It was revealed earlier this week that Sam, 32, and 28-year-old Zara had split after a five-year relationship. The pair not only lived together in a huge home next to Sam’s sister Louise Thompson, but also shared two cats, Cedric and Albus.

Since breaking news of their split, Sam and Pete Wicks have now released the first episode of their Staying Relevant podcast. He and his best friend, 37, presented the Staying Relevant Awards to mark the end of 2024 in it. Pete, who competed in last year’s Strictly Come Dancing, won the award for Best Team Member, which he promptly presented to his dance partner Jowita.

“Best new team member is up next, I think it’s obvious. It’s someone who helped us out while Sam was away, we all love her”, Pete explained, adding: “Some have said she’s a good replacement and potentially better. She has become a sensational member of one of the most influential TV partnerships of 2024. The winner is Jowita”.

Then Sam made a rather flirtatious comment, even mentioning Jowita’s “whick off her top.” He quipped: “Gotta say, a cracking pair of abdominals as well. I couldn’t believe it, when she whacked off her top, I was like f***ing hell. Unbelievable, washboard. It’s unlike anything I’ve ever seen.

The couple separated for Christmas and the New Year. Sam, the reigning I’m A Celebrity winner, partied with Josh Patterson and former Made in Chelsea co-star Reza Amiri-Garroussi at London’s Kensington Roof Gardens to celebrate the new year. Zara and their cat were both staying at home.

A week earlier, Sam had been handing out presents and volunteering for a charity on Christmas Day, while Zara spent the time in Upminster, Essex, with her family. While Sam was working on the spin-off series Unpacked in Australia, the couple had also taken some time off from one another. While filming a BBC documentary, Zaragoza was unable to travel over due to work commitments.

A source told the MailOnline: “Sam and Zara have ended their relationship. They still care about one another and have a lot of love for one another despite it being a very difficult decision for them to part ways.

They continued to claim that the couple had put a lot of effort into their romance, but that being separated from one another has made it difficult, and that they are eager to move forward with their individual careers.

The former Made in Chelsea star took to Instagram Stories on New Year’s Day to express his excitement over 2025 despite the fact that neither of them have yet made public their claims. “New year! 2025 baby come on let’s have it! I can’t wait. You’re going to have the best year ever, and the new year is going to be amazing. And you know I’m always right”, said Sam before appearing to kiss his camera.
