Sam Fender fans tell him to prepare for ‘worst crowd of your entire career’ at festival

Fans have warned musician Sam Fender to “waste the worst crowd of your entire career” before the performance.
The North Shields-born singer recently announced a stadium tour in the UK, playing Newcastle United’s St. James ‘ Park and West Ham’s London Stadium next June. Next month, a number of sold-out tour dates are scheduled to debut. But fans are warning the 30-year-old musician, whose hits include Hypersonic Missiles and Get You Down, to be wary of one crowd in particular.
Fender fans rallied around the singer after sharing a screenshot of the Coachella festival announcement on Twitter with a screenshot of the event’s official website.
One fan screenshots the festival lineup and asks, “Sam Fender, are you prepared for the worst crowd in your entire career” in a now-viral post on the social media app. Fender, who sold out two dates at St James ‘ Park last year, is set to play the festival on April 12 and April 19, when the likes of Clairo, Charli XCX and Green Day are also playing.
Some claim that Fender will completely win them over once they hear his powerful voice, but others claim that it will be the turning point in his rise to prominence in the United States. He will start playing Madison Square Garden on this tour.
A British artist has previously gotten into trouble with the Coachella festival. Blur frontman Damon Albarn furiously told an uninterested crowd “you’ll never see us again”, at last year’s festival. One Fender fan compared the lackluster response the Parklife hitmakers received to his festival performance as a “blurchella pt2” Prior to the festival’s opening, the band had previously played in a similarly muted environment.
Other British acts have struggled in front of the less noisy Coachella crowd, including The Stone Roses, who dropped their second appearance and were replaced by Blur in 2013. On their first reunion tour in 2012, Pulp and others struggled to win the audience over. The band and the group played the festival during their final two shows on their tour before reuniting for their current tour, which will feature their first appearance at the Sheffield-based Tramlines festival.
Coachella 2025 is set to feature an array of UK and Irish acts including The Prodigy, Pete Tong and Kneecap. The three weekend dates that will be played throughout the festival include Lady Gaga, Green Day, and Post Malone. The Prodigy will appear on the April 11 and April 18 bill, while Fender will play on Saturday, April 12 and April 19, respectively.
