Ross Kemp looks unrecognisable with a full head of hair as he confirms EastEnders return

Ross Kemp, the actor from EastEnders, has been the subject of a shocking rehashing of a throwback image of him sporting a full head of hair.

Kemp is more well-known for his current persona, which includes a bald head and a hard-looking appearance, than for his return to the BBC soap on New Year’s Day. Yet it wasn’t always his style, with the actor at one point sporting a full head of wavy, dark hair.

Kemp had two photos of himself playing rugby and another of himself as he finished drama school, according to images taken on Good Morning Britain. The EastEnders legend’s autobiography, Take Nothing For Granted: Tales From An Unexpected Life, was promoted for release in 2023 by him in the form of Take Nothing For Granted: Tales From An Unexpected Life.

When Ross Kemp left drama school (ITV), he had a head of hair that was both fresh and different.

The actor, 60, recently revealed that he would never undergo a hair transplant, despite losing his hair. In an interview with The Times he said: “I do try and make myself look presentable, which isn’t easy with this face. I look in the mirror and think: squashed sultana. Do I wished I had hair on? Course, but I’d never have hair implants, or plastic surgery to fix this bit under my chin. This is me. If you don’t like it, you know what you can do”.

Fast 35 years ago, Grant Mitchell, Phil Mitchell’s brother, and Peggy Mitchell’s son, Peggy, the son of Queen Vic landlord, were the first actors to appear in the EastEnders film. He first appeared on the soap for nine years, starting in 1990 with a nine-year break, then briefly returning in 2005 and 2006, and finally finishing in 2016 with a brief break. He appeared in some of the soap’s most enduring and well-known stories, including the love triangle between Sharon Mitchell and his brother and his tense marriage to wife Tiffany Raymond.

However the actor is now to return to Watford and Albert Square, ahead of the BBC soap’s 40th anniversary in February. The actor-turned-documentary maker expressed his delight in returning, saying: “EastEnders has always meant so much to me, so to return as the show is about to celebrate such a special anniversary is an absolute honor. Grant has never been a step away from the action, and let’s just say that this time around is no exception. He certainly returns with a bang.

Ross Kemp reprises the legendary role of Grant Mitchell in EastEnders, according to Chris Clenshaw, the executive producer of EastEnders. Although I’m not currently revealing what exactly brings Grant back to Walford, I can assure you that his return will be significant in the 40th anniversary of the show and will make up many unforgettable viewing opportunities.
