Rivers Administrator Promises To Complete Assembly Complex

Ibok-Ete Ibas, the sole administrator of Rivers State, has urged the contractor to finish the State Assembly Complex project as soon as possible in accordance with the contract agreement.
The administrator apologised when he on Saturday inspected the ongoing reconstruction of the new Assembly Complex along Moscow Road in the Port Harcourt Local Government Area.
The retired naval chief made it clear that the state’s legislative process needed to be fully and effectively reformed.
Work on the project, which has about 34 en-suite offices on a two-storey building with an elevator, a gallery, meeting rooms, and a conference hall, has been commendably completed thanks to Monier Construction Company (MCC) Limited.

The only administrator stated that he had noticed a missing pillar in the state governance structure during his first two days in office and is working to make sure there is room for effective legislative activities after six months.
He added that while I worked at the state governance structure’s executive branch, the legislature is one of the pillars that is currently lacking. For them to function effectively, they also require a place to work.
“And perhaps I’m not yet certain that the work is going as planned. By the end of the six months, this location will be ready for those who require use.
I think they will enjoy sticking to a schedule and timeline, according to the contractor.
According to him, the state has done its part by providing the necessary funds, noting that “the onus is on them (the contractor) to make sure they adhere to the terms.”
The retired vice admiral made a point of emphasising that his goal was to keep law and order and allow the state to return to its normal state.
