A stylish £28 bag that resembles a £375 Coach bag has caused a wave of “love” among River Islanders. Fashion fans became enamoured with River Island’s Blue Denim Mini Cross Body Bowler Bag after @Yewande_idris1 showcased the brand’s bags on TikTok.
In a video that has been viewed more than 100 000 times, the content creator highlighted a number of stunning accessories. Clearly impressed, Yewande’s said: “@River Island is doing a big one on this. Just take my money”.
The Mini Cross Body Bowler Bag, which was featured at the beginning of the video, was a particular favorite, and viewers responded quickly to the praise. One commenter said: “Omg, I need”.
A second agreed: “Wow, it’s a need”. Someone wrote: “Deffo going check tomorrow. I want the denim”. Another asked: “Omg lush, how much”?
A different viewer replied: “As a worker there, I’m tempted to buy everythinggg”, and a shopper shared: “I brought my four year old the little denim one she adores it”. Listed in River Island’s women’s section, the Mini Cross Body Bowler Bag is sure to delight customers of all ages.
The bag looks stylish and expensive thanks to its distinctive monogram print and pricey charm detail, which are both fashionable this season. As eagle-eyed shoppers pointed out, it also reminds them of Coach’s Mini Rowan Crossbody Bag in Signature Denim, priced at £375.
Admittedly, there are some noticeable differences between the styles. For instance, the Coach bag bears the designer’s emblem. The bag has a cherry charm, like the River Island bag, but it’s a darker denim shade.
On the other hand, River Island’s bag has a larger charm, accompanied by pearl beading and River Island’s monogram. That said, River Island’s affordable alternative is just as beautiful for fans of the style.
