Rihanna, a well-known musician, contested a court appearance to show support for her ex-boyfriend A$AP Rocky.
The Fenty make-up mogul, who has two children with her long-term partner, was present in a courtroom on January 29 for the trial of Rocky, real name Rakim Athelaston Mayers. In 2021, the rapper is accused of shooting former collaborator ASAP Relli (real name Terell Ephron) near a Hollywood hotel.
As the trial raged with Ephron’s second day of testimony, Mayers is accused of two felonies of assault with a semiautomatic weapon. Rihanna attended the courthouse in Los Angeles as the trial progressed. Rihanna reportedly sneaked into the courtroom before Mayers arrived earlier in the day without her.
If Mayers is convicted, he could be facing up to 24 years in prison. Speaking of Rihanna’s arrival, a source recently claimed: “Rihanna arrived around 9: 49 a. m. in a blacked-out SUV and met with two security guards who tried to throw everyone off and went down a side passageway out of the court”.

They continued, “She sneaked into the court in a secret elevator and never walked the main corridor,” according to The US Sun. According to reports, the singer reportedly sat in the courtroom with Mayer’s mother and sister.
Ephron claimed that he and Mayers were former members of the same rap collective in November 2023. According to the pre-trial hearing, the two former friends agreed to meet on November 6, 2021, to clear the air that their relationship struggled during Mayers’ rise to fame.
According to Ephron, Mayers claimed he and two other men had a brief discussion before Mayers pulled a gun from his waistband and fired at him near the Hollywood W hotel. Ephron claims that the gun grazed his knuckles, which is alleged to have been supported by Mayers’ alleged involvement in the alleged shooting of CCTV footage.
When L$ rapper Mayers and his partner returned from a trip to Barbados, they were detained at an airport in 2022. He entered a not-guilty plea and was set to be detained. A six-month sentence with a seven-year suspended sentence and three years of probation was rejected earlier this week by Mayers.
Mayers ‘ lawyer, Joe Tacopina, claimed the weapon was a “prop gun” which couldn’t fire real ammunition.
