The Roses, ranked fourth in the world, built up a 31-24 lead at half-time against their seventh-ranked opponents.
Despite Liv Tchine’s hobbled off with a problem in the third quarter, they continued to capitalize on that advantage. At the conclusion of the game, she was observing from the sidelines.
Earlier, South Africa ran out 75-40 winners against Uganda.
After Malawi and Uganda face South Africa at Nottingham’s Motorpoint Arena on Sunday, England will face South Africa.
