I’m A Celebrity¦ Get Me Out of Here! ended last night, and a celebrity is returning with a surprising message of support while one star wipes his tears.

In the final episode of the popular ITV reality series, Coleen Rooney, 38, came in second to McFly star Danny Jones, and while she didn’t win, it seems like she is returning to her former self after her rival posted a very public and unanticipated sentiment.

Rebekah Vardy and her fellow WAG were unkind after the notorious Wagatha Christie trial in 2022. All of that may change as soon as Coleen receives an encouraging message in her final I’m A Celebrity Hot take, which was airing for its 24th season.

Rebekah has instead chosen to take the mature approach when she has taken a swipe at Coleen between each episode of the popular reality show and has been writing a column for The Sun.

In a short video shared on the news outlet’s website, Rebekah recapped the final, telling fans that Reverend Richard Coles, who placed third in the competition, is her “absolute favourite campmate of all time”. She said she “loved” watching it play out and thinks it’s “wonderful” and hopes he and GK Barry remove their unlikely friendship from television.

When it came time for her to recap Coleen’s I’m A Celebrity journey, Rebekah, who was wearing a dark-coloured jumper with her hair pulled up, played it cool and said her former pal has “had a fab series”. As she headed home with her family, Wayne Rooney and their four boys, she continued to claim that Coleen has “really done well” and should be proud.

Knowing her comments would have surprised viewers, Rebekah smiled coyly as she explained: “I know you’re all waiting for me to say something else, but I’m sorry to disappoint. It’s just not happening. It’s really, really time to move on and end the year with a positive”.

Rebekah and Coleen’s relationship deteriorated in 2019 when Coleen revealed to The Sun that Rebekah had been leaking private Instagram posts. In retaliation, Rebekah sued her former pal for libel, with the trial taking place in London in May 2022.

Rebekah was ordered to pay Rebekah’s legal costs in addition to her own after the court determined that Coleen’s claims were “substantially true” in the wake of the highly publicized legal battle. Around the $3 million mark is thought to have been spent on the project. Rebekah appears to be ready to leave it all behind.

As for how Rebekah felt about Danny’s win, she said the musician was “born for this” and was so impressed that he “just got on with it” and never moaned or complained. She continued to praise his vulnerability and ability to hear from others in times of need while expressing how significant “how much it meant to him when he won” was.
