Rebekah Vardy has announced a new business project – with an unexpected I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! connection.

The TV star has teamed up with ex-Chelsea star Dennis Wise, who she met on the 2017 series of I’m A Celebrity, to launch a new line of sweet-flavoured vodka shots, marking their latest venture and cementing their long-standing friendship. But their new venture, SK-TL Vodka Shots has been designed after her husband Jamie Vardy’s Skittle sweets-infused vodka recipes. Revealing the backstory, Rebekah said, “When Dennis came over, we had some already done on the side”. Keen to share the vibrant experience, she added, “So I thought, well, how amazing would it be to bring the vision to life and to create something that was really, really fun”.

Partnering with Leicester’s Drinks Chef and collecting a troupe of investors, including Julie Anne Quay of Barnsley FC, the pair are rolling out lemon, strawberry, and orange varieties. Vardy and Wise show off their playful side in a lively promotional video that kicks off the offensive line.

Rebekah, effusive about the project, commented, “It is a fun drink and shows that we don’t really take ourselves too seriously and we can have a laugh”, adding warmly, “Dennis and I have always got on really, really well”. She acknowledges that the two families are very close, and that their children are close friends.

It is obvious that she is grateful to her business partner, saying, “I couldn’t have asked for a better partner to launch a business with.” Reflecting on their shared history, she remarks, “We got on really well in the jungle and our friendship’s developed ever since”. Wise, supporting Rebekah’s lead on the project, acknowledges her flair, telling PA: “She’s got a bit of entrepreneur in her – she won’t say it, but she has”.

The launch coincides with Wayne Rooney’s latest business move, as he’s now the new face and an investor in Liverpool-based sports health titan Applied Nutrition. The business was in last month when it soared onto the stock market with a hefty valuation of £350 million, making headlines for itself. Vardy shared how, alongside former England midfielder Wise, they’ve been knee-deep in the development from the get-go, revealing: “We’ve gone through the branding process, we’ve gone through the flavour selections, but also it’s a product we truly believe in and we truly enjoy”.

He added: “We think the product’s brilliant and we hope other people that try it think the same”. Rebekah also made an eloquent comment about Coleen Rooney’s ITV appearance. She admitted she “couldn’t care less” about Coleen following in her footsteps, admitting she’s “enjoying” watching Rooney face the show’s infamous trials. Rebekah said: “Why would I be uncomfortable with Coleen? I’ve got it on her, and the general consensus is that I really dislike having her on a show I’ve done. She continued, “I couldn’t care less. I have no issues whatsoever. Actually, I’m enjoying it a lot.

After making an open accusation against Vardy of leaking information to The Sun, which a High Court judge in July 2022 declared “substantially true,” Rooney became known as Wagatha Christie. Rebekah strongly denies the allegations.
