Quins change three as Dempsey returns for Glasgow’s ‘toughest test’
Investec Champions Cup: Harlequins v Glasgow Warriors
Venue: Twickenham Stoop Date: Saturday, 18 January Kick-off: 20: 00 GMT
For their final Investec Champions Cup Pool 4 match against the Glasgow Warriors, Harlequins make three changes.
Chandler Cunningham-South is recalled to the back row, while lock Stephan Lewies makes a start-to-start XV debut.
In order to make his full European debut against Quins, Ben Waghorn makes his first appearance since Luke Northmore, who was injured center.
The hosts are third in the table, level on points with fourth-placed Stormers and Sale Sharks in fifth, while Racing 92 are a point behind in sixth.
However, a bonus-point win over Glasgow would almost certainly guarantee a spot in the knockout stages given Quins’ points difference advantage over Sale.
For their trip to Twickenham Stoop, the visitors make five changes, including a home matchup in the previous round.
Euan Ferrie is named in the second row, while Jack Dempsey makes his first appearance in Glasgow since October.
Jamie Dobie is named at scrum-half, Kyle Rowe starts on the wing, and Stafford McDowall, who was suspended, is now starting for the side from inside center.
“We are aware that tomorrow night’s Harlequins will be our most difficult pool test,” said Glasgow head coach Franco Smith.
