PSG’s Lee Kang-In Misses World Cup Qualifier With Injury

Lee Kang-in, the country’s pivotal home World Cup qualifier against Jordan on Tuesday, will miss his country’s crucial home match due to an ankle injury, according to his national coach.

Hwang Hee-chan of Wolves scored the winning goal in a 1-1 home draw with Oman on Thursday thanks to the 24-year-old attacking midfielder’s passing passing passing.

Five minutes before the end of the stalemate at Goyang Stadium, Lee, who has 35 caps and nine goals for his nation, was substituted.

Lee rolled his left ankle when he was a first-half substitute, according to Yonhap News Agency.

Lee, Paik Seung-ho of Birmingham City, and Jung Seung-hyun of Al Wasl in the UAE were all missing, according to coach Hong Myung-bo.

Tests revealed that Lee Kang-in’s injury isn’t as severe as we had anticipated, according to Yonhap’s report on Saturday.

I spoke with him just recently, and I was able to reaffirm his support for the national team.

He is, however, equally significant to his club as his country.

South Korea are in the top four spots in Group B for Asian qualifying, winning four of their seven games and avoiding the 2026 World Cup in North America.

With three games left, they were later pegged back by Oman, and are now three points clear of Jordan and Iraq.

The top two teams advance to the World Cup.
