Prince William shows of baking skills and says TV cook ‘taught me everything’

When Prince William and Kate cooked Welsh Cakes together, Prince William joked that he had been following baking queen Mary Berry’s advice.

Kate and William went to Fountain Cafe to speak with local business owners who had been devastated by Storm Darragh, and the cakes were cooked for five minutes on each side. The prince then carried the entire tray, including Kerry Williams, 64, who was sporting an Aston Villa t-shirt, to the recipients. William was heard saying: “Welsh Cakes made by us”. Locals ate the entire tray.

Theresa Conner, 46, owner of The Welsh Cake Shop, said afterwards: “They were very good. They said they had never before produced Welsh cakes after I inquired.

They were both excellent bakers, which was surprising. They embraced it like ducks to water when I gave them a quick demonstration. For St. David’s Day, I should have taken advantage of this opportunity. I can use any assistance I can get.

The royals removed all Welsh cakes from the market or distributed them to attendees. Theresa added:” Maybe we could have framed one. “She said:” It’s a real privilege they came to visit us. It’s massive. The “Palace staff” purchased ninety Welsh cakes for lunch. Ten items are sold at the store for £4.
