According to reports, Prince Harry once took a cheeky swipe at James Corden and forced David Beckham to play the peacemaker.
Gavin and Stacey star, James, 46, has been friends with the Duke of Sussex, 40, and David, 49, for years after shooting to fame in the UK and then across the pond in Los Angeles.
According to reports, David and Prince Harry reportedly had a get-together at a private members club in London for their pals back in 2011, which was billed as a “pre-Christmas boys’ p**s up.” James was at the time of the party, and all attendees were cheering all night long when he arrived several hours after the party had started.
Upon the Fat Friends ‘ star’s arrival, Harry is said to have made a jibe at the actor, which – according to the Mail – reportedly left James fuming. There was rapture when he arrived, according to a source who has chosen not to disclose what the Royal said to the outlet. Hugs and giggles were exchanged among the group’s most devoted members.
” The group was pretty large. There were some of Harry’s friends, some of James ‘ friends and some of David’s gang and they all intertwined. Then it all kicked off, James was furious. Harry and James both quickly realized that Harry had made a joke, and they were undoubtedly not amused.
The source claims that father-of-four David tried to build bridges after the skirmish, saying:” It fell to David to smooth things over. He is loved by everyone, I mean, who wouldn’t want to do as they were asked by a legend like him? He did a fantastic job, getting everyone to talk. Eventually, James calmed down and the night carried on. “
Before welcoming their son Archie and daughter Lilibet into the world, Prince Harry of course later wed Megan Markle. The couple left for L. A shortly after their nuptials, choosing to ditch their royal titles. On Friday, they were photographed in California, comforting the victims of the Los Angeles fires.
The pair offered their support as the devastating flames raged through California, hugging those who had lost their homes. Living in Montecito, which is located just 60 miles from the fires across Malibu, poses a high risk for the Duke and Duchess.
In a statement, the couple said:” In the last few days, wildfires in Southern California have raged through neighbourhoods and devastated families, homes, schools, medical care centres, and so much more – affecting tens of thousands from all walks of life. A state of emergency has been declared. Here are some resources and suggestions if you feel compelled to help.
They continued: “If a friend, loved one, or pet has to evacuate and you are able to offer them a safe haven in your home, please do. Also, make sure to check in with any elderly or disabled neighbors to see if they need assistance evacuating. Some individuals and families have had nothing. Please consider donating clothing, children’s toys &, clothing, and other essentials. The American Red Cross is assisting those in need wherever they are.
