Insiders are scratching their heads over Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s “sudden love bombing” of the Royal Family.

According to recent reports, the couple would “not decline” an invitation to spend Christmas with King Charles and the rest of the family at Sandringham. It comes after it was reported that Harry and his father had a “warm” phone call last week to celebrate Harry’s birthday. Prince Archie, 4, and Princess Lilibet, 2, both sent birthday videos to their grandfather.

However, despite what appears to be a thaw in relations, royal insiders have questioned the Sussexes’ apparent recent stance, particularly in light of criticisms of the company in their Netflix series and Harry’s contentious memoir Spare. One said to the Daily Mail, “It’s so bizarre to have behaved so badly, demanded an apology and an admission of guilt from the family, and now suggest they’ll just waltz back in and allow bygones to be done with, if only someone would be good enough to invite them.”

The couple was invited to join the royals on their yearly summer vacation to Balmoral in recent years, but they turned it down, according to the publication. Which raises the question, why now? the source continued.

Is it related to the fact that some of their business deals, like Spotify, went unnoticed and they were made fun of in American television programs like South Park and Family Guy? Is it possible that they have come to realize that complaining about how awful being a Royal Family member is isn’t really such an excellent strategy?

According to a royal expert, Prince William won’t be upset if Harry misses another royal Christmas because of their strained relationship. The Sussexes and their children who are visiting during the holiday season have received cold water from royal insiders who claim they won’t likely be welcomed back into the royal family. Jennie Bond, a former BBC royal correspondent and royal expert, claims that William would be pleased by this.

Little Archie and Lilibet ought to be interacting with their numerous cousins, pulling crackers, opening gifts, and realizing their place in the family, even though their lives are thousands of miles apart, she advised the Sun. But that won’t take place.

William won’t likely cry over this, in my opinion. He undoubtedly still has feelings for Harry, but I don’t believe he can see a way to mend their growing rift. I believe William has given up on the idea of making amends with Harry, and I don’t think Meghan will ever want to be welcomed back into the family’s arms. William probably doesn’t give them more than a fleeting thought before trying to block it out.
