During the groundbreaking ceremony for five mini LNG plants in Ajaokuta, Kogi State, Malam Mele Kyari, the group’s CEO, disclosed this on Thursday.

&nbsp, According to Kyari, Tinubu has instructed the NNPCL to complete the project swiftly, demonstrating his administration’s focus on energy accessibility and affordability.

According to a Persecondnews correspondent at the groundbreaking event, “The president has initiated efforts to distribute cheap fuel through compressed natural gas (CNG) and liquefied natural gas (LNG).”

The host community, particularly the Eastern and Northern regions of Nigeria, where work is being done, “will benefit this project.”

The NNPCL boss emphasized that the project aligns with the theme “From Gas to Prosperity: Catalyzing Nigeria’s Economic Growth”.

“I have spoken with every chief in the host community to uphold President Tinubu’s authority in Ajaokuta.

He said, “This is a strategic move to achieve clean energy and ignite industrial growth throughout Nigeria as well as in Kogi State.”

A Greenfield NNPC Gas development initiative that supports the federal government’s preference for gas as the preferred energy transition fuel is the small-scale LNG project.

This project is expected to spur economic growth and provide affordable energy for Nigerians because it has the largest natural gas reserves in Africa, totaling about 5.94 trillion cubic meters.
