If you don’t put enough points on the board in the Premier League, then you risk being dumped into the Championship.

With the quality of the field varying each season, though, there have been times when poor teams have got away with it – and times when sides that feel they’ve done enough have faced the drop.

In one particular 42-game season, four teams were relegated despite their relatively high points total.

To celebrate an especially competitive relegation battle, we’ve looked at historic point totals and built this quiz about the worst teams to have survived the Premier League, and the best to have gone down.
