Police Smash Death Threat Syndicates In Anambra

A death threat syndicate has been dismantled and detained by Anambra police. &nbsp ,

This was confirmed by Tochukwu Ikenga, the Anambra Police Command’s spokesperson, in a statement released on Tuesday.

He claimed that two deadly syndicates extorting money from innocent citizens through lethal threats had been destroyed by police in the towns of Ozubulu and Umunze in Anambra State.

Two suspects were apprehended after a thorough investigation at Umunze, Orumba South LGA Headquarters.

The suspects threatened to kidnap and kill their victim and his daughter if he didn’t pay them a sizable sum in text messages identifying themselves as ESN members.

“Both suspects are currently cooling off in custody and will soon be charged with a crime.”

It also stated that one male suspect who threatened a businessman with death over two different lines was also detained by police in the same town.
