Police Arrest Two Suspects In Bauchi Over Motorcycle Rider’s Death

The body of a motorcycle rider was discovered on March 5, 2025, along Dosho Village near Darazo, in connection with the arrest of two people by the Bauchi State Police Command.

Officers responded to a report that a motionless body had been discovered with numerous injuries, according to a press release from the Bauchi State Police Command. A team from Darazo, led by the Divisional Police Officer (DPO), arrived at the scene, where it was later confirmed that Dauda Manu, 25, had passed away.

A team of detectives arrived at the scene and removed the body, which was later confirmed dead by a doctor at the General Hospital in Darazo, according to the police.

The victim’s death was fully investigated by the police, who are still conducting their investigation.

Authorities found out through a thorough investigation that Dauda Manu had been seen with two unidentified men on March 4, 2025, riding his boxer-style motorcycle. One Yau Buba, a 25-year-old resident of Minchika Village, Darazo LGA, was discovered with the motorcycle, which belonged to Manu.

On March 20, 2025, Yau Buba was detained on a motorcycle in Gombe State. Buba, 22, and Buba Muhammadu, 22, both from Minchika Village, who was detained the following day, admitted to purchasing the bike for 250, 000 Naira during questioning.

Following a diligent investigation, the suspects were detained. Further investigation led to Muhammadu’s arrest, according to the police, who gave the confession to buying the motorcycle from Buba Muhammadu.
