Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu was seen in several photos having a nice time with entertainers, including Wizkid, Burna Boy, Tiwa Savage, Olamide and others at the #GreaterLagosCountdown2025.
He thanked the artists and residents who helped make the event extraordinary in a statement shared by the governor on X on Wednesday.
He said “A heartfelt thank you to the incredible artists who honoured Lagos ‘ call to perform and made the night unforgettable—Wizkid, Tiwa Savage, Burna Boy, Olamide, Seyi Vibez, and many more.
Your talent and passion “filled every corner of Lagos with joy and lust.” Last night, Lagos came alive in a way that only Lagos can! “
He claimed that the event had an “electric energy that permeated every moment, with the vibrant spirit of our people shining through.”
Sanwo-Olu also thanked Lagos residents for coming together in unity to celebrate, saying”, Thank you for showing the world the true Lagos spirit.

The countdown was scheduled to start on Tuesday night across five major locations in the state—Ikorodu, Badagry, Ikeja, Lagos Island, and Epe—with Tafawa Balawa Square being the main stage at Lagos Island.
