PHOTOS: Jubilation As Yahaya Bello Arrives Kogi For New Year Celebration

As residents of the district gathered in droves on Monday to welcome Yahaya Bello, the former governor of Kogi State, and Usman Ododo, the current governor of the state, as they entered the district to welcome his kinsmen for the New Year.

As early as 8 am, Indegene were waiting by the side of the road in Okene from all angles to see the former governor.

Women, men, old and young waved and sang in their local dialect to welcome the former governor, after he met his bail condition.

Before the former governor’s triumphant journey from Lokoja to Okene his country home, he had to wait several hours before arriving at Ohinoyi’s palace, which was awaiting him with a large crowd of both men and women.

The former governor urged the people to always pray for their leaders as they carried out their responsibilities at the palace of the supreme ruler of Ebiraland in Okene in his local dialect.

He assured that Ododo’s current administration will bring more democratic dividends to all of the state.

He urged cohesion among the various ethnic groups to promote the state’s current administration’s ability to deliver the desired result in democracy to the state’s citizens.

He urged his people to avoid social vices and fervently pray for President Tinubu’s victory in office.

He noted that the current administration’s policies will undoubtedly advance the nation and that he also sought the support and prayers of Nigerians for him to succeed in carrying out his laudable plans and programs.
