Peter Andre’s ‘upset’ as birthday plans for son Theo, 8, thrown into chaos

Peter Andre has admitted to being “really upset” that his plans for son Theo’s eighth birthday were canceled. Writing in his New! The 51-year-old pop star described in a magazine column how a number of unfortunate circumstances at the airport prevented the day’s festivities as he returned from a shoot abroad.

Peter, father to Theo, Amelia, ten, and eight-month-old Arabella with wife Emily, as well as Junior, 19, and Princess, 17, with ex Katie Price, could not hide his parenting woes as he recounted missing the start of Theo’s special day. When he became ill and had to rely on delayed and canceled flights, his misadventures continued. In a miracle, Pete managed to board a plane, and Gatwick Airport reopened just in time for him to land safely despite the airport being temporarily closed as a result of a security scare while they were airborne.

Pete wrote: “I’d been filming a new TV drama abroad and was due to fly home last week for Theo’s eighth birthday. I planned to visit Blackpool the night before the show so that I could get up early in the morning and give him his presents. But, first, I became very unwell, then my flight got delayed – before being cancelled.

“Due to a suspected package, which caused us to be diverted, Gatwick was shut down while we were in the air the day I did get on another flight.” Thankfully, the terminal reopened 10 minutes before we were due to land, and thankfully, no one was hurt, so everything was alright.

Continuing, Pete admitted he was feeling down due to the delays, despite making it in the end. He said:” But I missed Theo’s birthday morning when he opened his presents, which I was really upset about, and I was feeling really unwell so I couldn’t do my gig, so apologies for that. Although it occasionally goes wrong when I finally get home and surprise Theo, he was so happy and that we at least had his favorite meal!

Marking Theo’s birthday, Emily shared a sweet post to Instagram as she wrote:” My gorgeous boy is 8 today. I’m actually awestruck by how long it has been! Theo, you are the most generous and loving person we could ask for. Love you so much and happy birthday”.
