Peru Two drug mule Michaella McCollum hits Benidorm beach amid Celebrity SAS rumours

As her son and I played volleyball on a Spanish beach, Michelle McCollum has been having some fun in the sun.

More than ten years ago, the 30-year-old used a drug mule to smuggle cocaine out of the South American nation, making her infamous as one of the Peru Two.

After having breast enhancements at the end of last year, Michaella, who lives in Benidorm with her son, was looking beautiful on the beach in a Brazil shirt.

Michaella, who was detained at Jorge Chávez International Airport after being found with 12 kg (26 lb) of cocaine in her bag, is now rumored to be appearing on Celebrity SAS.

Before that, she enjoys relaxing under the Spanish sun, spending a few years in a Peruvian prison, which may have adequately prepared her for the intense nature of the Channel 4 show.

The mother-of-two, who had always been linked to the incident, looked a million miles away as she played on the golden sands while smiling all the way home.

Michaella has come out since Michaella’s release from prison in 2016 to admit to being “stupid” about believing she could smuggle the drugs. She claimed on the Lorraine program that doing the job seemed “easy money” because she believed it to be “something quite normal.”

Michaella said: “At the time, I thought £5, 000 was a lot of money. I now know £5, 000 is not a lot of money. I believed it to be easy money, and I believed I was acting in a completely normal way there. Drug use was a common occurrence. Although it’s taboo in the UK, it seemed like a normal thing to do.

At the time, Michaella was handcuffed, stripped naked and told she’d “never see daylight again” after her arrest. She described how 40 or 50 cockroaches crawled above and around her feet when she woke up to find her stripped off.

And there was a small jug next to the bathroom door in her prison. She was instructed to “use the jug to pour water over yourself” if she wanted to take a shower. You emptied the hole using the jug to wash it away when you were a toilet user.

After she was also told to keep hydrated by drinking the water in the jug, she replied: “You’re kidding me? We can’t drink that! It’s filthy! And there’s hardly any of it”.
