The Forum used the occasion to review the performance of member states in particular, the state of the nation in general, developments in the party, and other issues that the nation faced at the end of 2024. The meeting commended Governors of member states for pursuing policies and programs that were intended to lay the groundwork for sustainable development in their various states, the communique reads.

The Forum advised the NWC to set up the tools necessary for the effective implementation of the court judgment and has reaffirmed its support for the Court of Appeal decision.

The Forum advised NWC to reschedule NEC to the thirteenth (13th) of March 2025 after reviewing all the legal notices that had to be provided to legitimate convoke NEC.

Earlier, the NWC led by PDP Acting National Chairman, Umar Damagum, postponed the NEC meeting twice in the last three months, a decision rejected by the board of trustees (BoT). Final approval was given for the February meeting.

According to Section 31 (4) of the PDP Constitution, a NEC meeting must be held once in three months. In April 2024, the NEC held its final meeting.
