And Olivia Colman cut an elegant figure as she attended the premiere of The Lost Daughter at The Royal Festival Hall in London on Wednesday.
The actress, 47, was joined on the red carpet by co-stars Dakota Johnson and Jessie Buckley and director Maggie Gyllenhaal.
The Crown star donned a dark green dress with a houndstooth print for the event.
The garment also featured long sleeves while Olivia paired it with black heels with a diamond embellishment.
Styling her tresses into an updo, she completed her outfit for the star-studded premiere with silver earrings.
The Lost Daughter is a psychological drama written and directed by Maggie, and based on the novel of the same name by Elena Ferrante.
The anticipated movie had its world premiere at the 78th Venice International Film Festival on September 3, where Maggie won the Golden Osella Award for Best Screenplay.
The film also received a four-minute standing ovation from the audience at the Venice Film Festival.
It tells the story of Olivia, as Leda, a college professor, who while on a summer holiday, finds herself becoming obsessed with another woman (Dakota) and her young daughter, prompting memories of her own early motherhood to come back and unravel her.
The Lost Daughter also stars Peter Sarsgaard, Paul Mescal, Ed Harris and Oliver Jackson-Cohen.
The film will be released on Netflix on New Year’s Eve after a two-week limited release in US movie theatres.
Olivia recently joined the cast of the upcoming Willy Wonka origin story along with Rowan Atkinson and Sally Hawkins.
Timothee Chalamet is starring as the titular candy man in Wonka, which will pre-date the timeline in prior films about the Roald Dahl character.
Meanwhile, Olivia recently took home yet another Emmy award for her portrayal of Queen Elizabeth in the latest season of Netflix’s The Crown.
