Stanley Nwabali, the father of the Super Eagles goalkeeper, has lost his mother, according to a report from Chippa United Safe Hands.
Nwabali shared the sad news of his mother’s death on X Wednesday evening.
“Rip mom”, he wrote, saying it is the “worst year of my life already”.

Before that, Nwabali had posted, “A very very crazy world indeed”.
The goalkeeper, did not, however, give details of how the mother died.
He lost his father less than a month ago. In a 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifying game in the middle of November, the Super Eagles played a few hours before the match against Rwanda.
The 28-year-old was thereafter excused from the match.
