Notorious Bandit Leader ‘Baƙo-Baƙo’ Killed In Katsina State

Joint Security Forces neutralized a notorious bandit leader, “Bao-bao,” along with his rivals in a clearance operation that was conducted on Thursday in Katsina State’s Batsari Forest.

According to security sources, the troops of the Nigerian Army, Police, the Nigeria Security and Civil Defense Corps (NSCDC), as well as the Katsina Security Watch Corps, advanced into the bandits’ stronghold while wearing the dusk uniform.

In a fierce gun battle, “Baƙo-baƙo” and his men were overwhelmed by the superior firepower and strategy of the combined forces.

Bao-bao, who was to blame for the violent attacks and kidnappings that terrorized a number of Katsina State communities, had for a while been closely watched by security forces there.

A Batsari LGA community leader believes that his death was a significant success in the fight against banditry there.
