Norrie beaten by qualifier Tien in Acapulco opener

In the opening round of the Mexican Open in Acapulco, teenage American qualifier Learner Tien defeated British national Cameron Norrie.
Norrie, who is now 74th in the world, was beaten 7-6 (7-5) 6-3 by the 19-year-old, who is ranked nine places below him.
The Briton and the pair’s only previous encounter earlier this year, in Hong Kong, was won by the Briton.
Before Norrie recovered and served for the set at 5-4, Tien had a 4-1 lead in the opener. However, because he was broken, Tien continued to control the match and win the subsequent tie-break.
