Loose Women presenter Coleen Nolan has stuck by her siblings’ sides through all the difficult times. Her long list of siblings—Linda, Bernie, Maureen, Anne, Denise, Tommy, and Brian— have all battled with health scares and loss.

The TV star’s sister Linda’s sister Linda passed away just weeks after her brother Brian was discovered to have prostate cancer. Coleen said the news numb her, despite the fact that he claimed his doctors are optimistic about his treatment.
She said, “I couldn’t speak.” I became completely unconscious, and about an hour later, I wanted to scream and punch walls. Cancer is present in our family. But he was so encouraging, and I’m so proud of him.
We say, “OK, we can face this together,” because we are a family that treats everything with the utmost respect. We’ll proceed in that manner.
The Nolan family has endured decades of scrutiny from cancer. The heartbreaking loss of Bernie in 2013 marked one of the family’s most agonizing experiences, as Linda, Anne, and Bernie, her sisters bravely battled the disease.
After a long battle with breast cancer, the talented singer and actress, who is best known for her roles in The Bill and The Nolans, tragically passed away at the age of 52.
Linda and Anne, 74, both battled the disease for a number of years while Anne, 74, was also diagnosed with breast cancer. In 2023, Coleen, 60, described her own skin cancer diagnosis.
Linda, a columnist for the Mirror, reported that her cancer had returned and had spread to her liver in 2020. The disease caused the second Nolan sibling to pass away in January, Linda, 65.
Sister Maureen has openly discussed the “cruel cancer curse” that has plagued the family and described the devastating impact it has had on them all.
Her siblings frequently expressed how much they miss her as their beloved sister Bernie passed away in 2013. Their father, Tommy Nolan, passed away in 1998, which also caused tragedy.
Tommy, a significant player in the band’s early music careers, was a key player in the Nolans’ rise to fame. The close-knit family dealt a heartbreaking blow to his passing, and they have continued to honor his legacy.
Despite their grief, they have remained united, cherishing each moment together, and standing by one another through the most difficult times.
