NLC, TUC Suspend Nationwide Strike

The ongoing nationwide strike, which began on Wednesday, has been put on hold by the joint National Executive Council of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) and the Trade Union Congress of Nigeria (TUC).
The decision was made at a meeting on Wednesday where Nuhu Ribadu, the National Security Adviser (NSA), presided over an earlier interaction with the Federal Government.
On Wednesday night, TUC President Festus Osifo informed Channels Television of the suspension.

The Ribadu-led meeting promised that those detained for the physical assault on NLC President Joe Ajaero would face charges, according to organized labor.
