Nigeria, Canada Seal Code-Sharing Deal Under New BASA
A new bilateral air service agreement (BASA) between Nigeria and Canada has been finalized.
Festus Keyamo, Nigeria’s minister of aviation and aerospace development, made the announcement on Friday, saying the agreement will facilitate air connectivity and passenger convenience. He added that the two nations will have easier access to air traffic and better communication.
The deal will allow Canadian and American airlines to collaborate on flight routes, resulting in a more cohesive travel network between the two nations.
During a formal signing ceremony on Friday in Abuja, Keyamo stated that he had agreed to the agreement in its entirety.
Prior to this point, Ambassador Pasquale Salvaggio, the country’s ambassador to Nigeria, had signed the document in Ottawa earlier in the month.
