By 11 am, the Nigeria Football Federation will hold the unveiling in the MKO Abiola National Stadium’s Media Conference Room.
Just one week after the football organization appoints the Franco-Malian as their head coach, his unveiling will be in two weeks.
Despite concerns over the 47-year-old’s abilities, the NFF president Ibrahim Gusau has thrown his weight behind Chelle.
In a post on the NFF website on Sunday, Gusau said, “We appreciate the fact that Nigerians are very passionate about the game of football, and that is the reason for the various tones of reactions.
The NFF hereby asks Nigerians to unite and support him because we think he has the skills necessary to succeed with the Super Eagles. He will receive all the support he needs to succeed in the position thanks to the NFF.

The unveiling will also be an opportunity to name Chelle’s assistants. The Super Eagles B team will take the stage at the East African Nations Championship next month.
After that, attention will be shifted to the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers. The Super Eagles are currently fifth in the standings, four points clear of the leader, after a disappointing campaign.
But before hosting Zimbabwe in March, they have a chance to start making a comeback.
Chelle Mali’s Aiglons to the quarter-finals of last year’s Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) where they lost narrowly to eventual winners Cote d’Ivoire.
The new coach won five caps for the Aiglons of Mali and led clubs such as GS Consolat, FC Martigues, Boulogne, and MC Oran.
