Palace could get dragged into this – Sutton

Speaking on the Monday Night Club, Chris Sutton says that he believes Crystal Palace could be dragged into a relegation battle in the Premier League if they don’t make a decision on manager Oliver Glasner soon.

Briton Hennessy to headline on BBC Two

Bantamweight Francesca Hennessy’s world-title eliminator against Ellie Bouttell will headline Saturday’s event at London’s Copper Box Arena, which will be broadcast live on BBC Two and BBC iPlayer.

The all-British bout has been elevated to the main event after Adam Azim’s light-welterweight contest with Gustavo Lemos was postponed because both fighters picked up injuries.

Unbeaten Dutch fighter Gradus Kraus will face Scottish light-heavyweight Boris Crighton in the co-main event.

“Obviously, we were disappointed to lose Adam Azim as our headliner, but we are thrilled to have two of the most exciting young fighters in world boxing in action on Saturday night,” said Boxxer promoter Ben Shalom.

It will be the third time professional boxing has been shown on prime-time linear BBC television in more than two decades, following Jeamie ‘TKV’ Tshikeva’s victory over Frazer Clarke, which launched the BBC’s partnership with Boxxer in November, and Troy Williamson’s stoppage win against Callum Simpson in December.

Sevenoaks fighter Hennessy, 21, has won all seven of her professional bouts, while 29-year-old Briton Bouttell – who is based in China – has won seven and drawn one.

The contest is a final eliminator for the WBC bantamweight title, currently held by Australia’s Cherneka Johnson.

Wales to face Barbarians in Twickenham double-header in June

Wales men and women will face the Barbarians in a double-header at Allianz Stadium in Twickenham in June.

The men’s match will kick off at 14:00 BST on Saturday, 27 June before the women’s game follows at 17:00.

The matches are expected to be uncapped fixtures.

It is considered an away game for Wales so Barbarians choose the venue as the “home side”, while the Principality Stadium is hosting non-related rugby events over the summer with Metallica playing a rock concert in Cardiff on Sunday, 28 June.

Wales men last played the Barbarians in November 2023 in Cardiff when the hosts won 49-26 in an 11-try uncapped encounter.

It was a final farewell to Welsh legends Alun Wyn Jones and Justin Tipuric, who both played for the Barbarians, and full-back Leigh Halfpenny, who started for Wales.

Summer preparation

Wales men will use the match in London as part of their preparations for the inaugural Nations Championship in which they will face southern hemisphere sides Fiji, Argentina and South Africa over consecutive weeks in July.

The South Africa game has been announced as being in Durban on 18 July while the venues for the other two matches are yet to be officially confirmed.

“Playing against the Barbarians is always a very special occasion,” said Wales men’s head coach Steve Tandy.

“They play with freedom and creativity and bring together some of the best players in the world.

“This is a game that will be an important part of our preparation as we gear up for the Nations Championship and will offer up some exciting action for fans.”

Wales women will have completed their Six Nations campaign in May and be looking forward to the WXV Global Series in September and October.

“The Baa-baas are a key part of rugby’s culture and history and have the ability to attract world class talent ,” said Wales women’s head coach Sean Lynn.

[UPDATED] National Grid Collapses Again

On Tuesday, the National Grid experienced its second 2026 collapse.

Data at the time of filing this report revealed that the 11 electricity distribution companies had no megawatts of power supplies.

The Grid’s first collapse in a year occurred last Friday, just two weeks after a similar incident on December 29, 2025, which had resulted in widespread power outages nationwide.

Transmission line maintenance, fluctuation in generation capacity, and technical issues have been the causes of grid collapses.

As of 11:00 AM, electricity generation dropped dramatically from more than 4,500 megawatts to as low as 0 megawatts.

During the incident, all 23 power generation plants connected to the grid reportedly lost output, leaving none of the 11 electricity distribution companies with no power.
